Ward Melville High School Class of 1969: Information about the 40th Reunion is on Facebook under a group surprisingly called Ward Melville High School Class of 1969. Even if you are reading this too late for the reunion, that facebook page would be a good way to locate members of our class.

The 40th reunion was held on July 11th. Photos are posted on Facebook. If you are not a member of Facebook, here is a reason to join. There are photos, not only of the reunion, but also numerous class photos from Kindergarten thru High School.
For anybody interested in history of the Three Village area, you can visit the Three Village Historical Society at tvhs.org. One page has several murals that might look familiar from the Setauket School. Here is the link.
The Village Times Herald ran an article about the 40th reunion of Ward Melville High School Class of 1969. It appeared in their June 26th edition. The writer was Brittney Davies, a recent WMHS graduate (and Kaleidoscope editor) who is doing an internship at the newspaper.

On the Ward Melville High School website, there is an Alumni Page. Here are a link to the High School’s Alumni Page. They have used Harris Connect for an online directory at GraduateConnections.com.
When you click on the online directory it will allow you to log in or register. You would enter your name and Class of 1969. If you are have not registered before, they will need to send you an access code number by e-mail. It would probably be a good idea to update your information. Mine had an old address where I haven’t lived for quite some time. Of course they have an OPTIONAL premium membership – you can upgrade to receive additional features.
When you are registered, you can do a search. If you search only for year of graduation (1969) it will display a list of most of us (over 300 people) spread across 14 pages. They do have options if you don’t want your information displayed.
Added 6/15/09 – There are 335 class members listed with 4 of them opting out for a total of 331. The list does include deceased members. And I have noticed some people missing from the list and some spelling errors. Some of the contact information is out of date. (But if you can register for the site, you can update your contact information.) Bottom line: The online directory is a very helpful resource, but NOT perfect.
I have added a log-in page so that you can add comments, stories, etc. The password for the log-in page is the last name of the principal of WMHS in 1969, all lower case letters. It is better to use the Facebook page (and yes you should join Facebook if you are not a member yet.) But you can also leave comments on the log-in page.
If you have been looking for class information, please be sure to contact us even if you do not plan to attend the reunion. There is a list of almost 90 people who have not been contacted yet. Let us know who you are and how to contact you.
